I was sent for last week i had 6 biopsies, after i had my MRI scan as they found cancer in my lympnodes, then had another mammogram after this, what will come next.
Hi @tetron. So sorry you find yourself here but this is a great forum. The nurses will reply soon.
I would expect after a short wait they will call you in to discuss the pathology results from your biopsies. Depending on the grade, size and type, they will recommend a treatment plan. If it is in your lymph nodes, you may need them removing and surgery to the breast too. The next steps of endocrine therapy, chemo or radiotherapy will be decided based on the pathology of the tumour.
As someone who is in your shoes, i can tell you that the waiting is the hardest part. Once you have your treatment plan, things will move quickly and you will feel less anxious. There is a lot of support on here and your team will advise you on support available at your hospital.
Good luck, best wishes and let us all know how you get on. X

Hi tetron
Thanks for posting.
It’s understandable you wonder what comes next after your mammograms, MRI and biopsies. You explain cancer has been found in your lymph nodes.
The result of these tests will be discussed at the multi-disciplinary team meeting. If no further tests are needed a treatment plan will be agreed. You may have another appointment where they will explain all of this to you.
As @bluesatsuma says what comes next in terms of treatment depends on the pathology (along with other features of the cancer).
Getting support with this is really important. You may have been given the details of a breast care nurse you could contact if you have any questions while you wait.
You are also welcome to call our helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions.
