Jackie

Hello ladies, not been on here for a little while. And I’m sorry that I bring sad news.

A lady called Jackie who posts on here has passed away.

I’m not sure what her exact username was on here as I got to know her from the hospice I attend each week and she mentioned 2 weeks ago that she was on here.

I wanted to let you know cos I know she made friends on here, one in particular and as it happened quite suddenly, she may not know.

To give you some more info so you realise who she is: Her name was Jackie, lives in Notts with her partner and had secondary lung & liver and it had recently spread to her brain too. She was due to start radiotherapy again on Monday, but suddenly took a turn for the worse and passed away at 5am on Tuesday morning.

She was a super lady, always smiling, so caring and giving. Even tho’ I have only known her for a short time, I am so going to miss her.

RIP Jackie. Peace darlin. xxx

So sorry to hear of another life sadly lost to this awful disease… Hopefully someone from the secondary threads will recognise who you mean…

I’m so sorry to hear this news.

I am bouncing up in case someone can recognise Jackie xx

Thsnkyou for taking time To post this sad news. Bumping up the thread so that ladies who may know jackie will see this.

So glad someone picked up this thread… she was such a support to me off line, though we met on this site 2 years ago. A lovely caring creative lady, she went so suddenly. thankyou for your reply

Thanks for letting us know. Another woman gone before her time to this horrid disease. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

Love Anne

Hazel: Are you the friend she would’ve talked to me about? She met you, keep in touch offline and visited you as well?

You’re right, she was so loving & caring. And wow, what a talented & creative lady - she helped me get started on the arty crafty stuff at the hospice, we sat together and she would teach me so patiently.

Her partner Ian rang me last night and he is devastated, but coping. It was just so sudden that it has shocked everyone. So very very sad.

I’ve only just realised that I met Jackie last year at the Living Sec Breast Cancer Course in Manchester.

I’m so so sad to read this, she really was a lovely lady and she talked about how much she was enjoying her art day at the hospice.

Thinking of Ian…

Rest in Peace Jackie

Hi Sue,

Yes, she loved it at Treetops and enthused so much, it rubbed off on everyone. She touched us all, even the nursing staff were visibly upset on Tuesday when told the very sad news.

My condolences to you. You were fortunate to have enjoyed her company, an absolute joy to be around. Bless you.

Hi everyone. I am still puzzled which Jackie this is who has recently been lost to BC. Having posted on many threads over the last year it would be helpful to know what her “name” was. If this cannot be printed on this open site could someone PM me to let me know…even someone from BCC? I have asked various friends who post on the site and they do not know either. Thanks, Val

Hi Val,

Further to your recent post, I have referred this on to see if there is anything BCC can do.

Best wishes,

If you contact Hazelnut, she might be able to tell you Jackie’s username. I know they ‘met’ on here then met up and were friends. I met them both last year at the Sec Breast Cancer Course in Manchester.

Pippi, I have been trying without sucess to find out which Jackie has passed away. As there are many Jacki’s on the forum her user name would be helpful. Can you PM me?
Hi Sue, I have entered the name Hazelnut into the search in the Forum space but cannot find anything at all. Seems as I am not meant to know as I have tried all the avenues I know. Perhaps Bcc will come up with something. Thanks everyone, Val

Val

I’ve pm you

Hi Val,

As mentioned in my very first post, I’m afraid I don’t know her exact username on here, sorry I can’t help.

I can tell you her surname if that would help you or the BCC team to identify her, but I’m not sure if I should be posting a surname on here or not??

Regards

Dear Pippi,

It is best not to post Jackie’s surname on the site but if you email <script type=“text/javascript”>eval(unescape(‘%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%6d%6f%64%65%72%61%74%6f%72%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%22%3e%6d%6f%64%65%72%61%74%6f%72%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b’))</script> we will try to identify her user name.

Very best wishes
