It is with great sadness that I tell you that Jayne died last Tuesday 22nd June at 12.00 noon.

Even writing her name makes me smile. She was such a funny, clever, lovely lady !! I am almost waiting for a sarcastic quip by way of reply.

I am writing this with the permission of her nephew Michael.
If anyone would like to speak with him, send a message or attend jayne’s funeral, please pm me.

Michael says she kept her feisty spirit to the end. She died in the hospice, peacefully, with her family and free of pain at the end.

Thanks for letting us know Juliet.I spoke to Jayne a couple of times on live chat, we were both from Sussex and both having treatment in London, I didn’t know her well like you did but she was a strong & interesting woman. My thoughts are with her family and friends.Glad she left us peacefully and painfree.

I didn’t know her but it’s yet another sad loss to this dreadful illness. There seem to have been a few lovely ladies lost on here lately

I am so sad to hear of Jayne’s death from this awful disease. I remember her well and another one of our ‘gormless shoppers’ gone forever.

I am so sorry to hear this news. On several occasions Jayne had taken the time and trouble to send me personal messages of support when plainly her own situation was far graver than my own. She was a very strong person and I am pleased to see she kept her spirit and upbeat attitude right to the very end. She will be very sorely missed on these forms. My thoughts are with her daughter and family.

I’ve ‘met’ Jayne on the liver mets thread, but don’t know much about her. So sorry to hear that she’s no longer here, but glad to know that she wasn’t in pain. RIP Jayne

as a reader of the gormless shopper thread, I haven’t ‘met’ Jayne but followed her contributions and admired her very much
