Jojo100?

Hi Jo,

Not sure if remember but we chatted quite a bit when our Mum’s were first diagnosed last year. I just wondered how you and your Mum are getting on?

My Mum had seven sessions of chemo, then a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removal, but then needed a mastectomy as there were more pre-cancerous cells. The lymph nodes were clear though. Tonight we are giong to see the consultant and I’m feeling quite anxious about it. We will find out if Mum needs to have radiotherapy and if not, when she will start herceptin. Mum also thinks it will be to tell her how bad/good things are now and has prepared herself for the worst which has made me feel quite worried. The surgeon said they had got all the cancer out and that it was just pre-cancerous cells they removed but I guess you never know what the next step will be.

Since the chemo has finished and the ops have been done, now Mum is recovering well, it’s kind of been nice not to think about it. Mum has started to get her life back together and I’m enjoying having my Mum back and getting back to normal with my boyfriend. I just hope and pray that everything is going to be on the up and there will be no more surprises.

Anyway, I really hope things are going well for you. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Michelle.
