Morning all, I hope everyone had a good Christmas! It’s a winter wonderland here again today, I hope the roads are not too bad because my three-year old granddaughter and her parents are supposed to be coming for the day! On the other hand I don’t want it to thaw too fast, because a snowman would be a good plan!

The 9th of Jan is my last one nit long now for yoy with chemo honestly Shi the rads are a breeze in comparison ?
That’s not long for you now mishy ??I am looking forward to rads, I know from you and the other lovely ladies is another part of the journey and more doable than the chemo, thank you all so much for guidance and tips. Should have 5th chemo tomorrow as long as my arm holds up, it gone and had a party with Gazza in the fog on the tyne I think mishy ???this time next time, I’m going to be getting my most sparkliest top out to we’re for the last one as I ring the ding ding ding with the biggest ???and think it calls for sparkly shoes and handbag too next time??shi xx

Shi, best of luck for chemo no.5, I hope your poor arm holds out. Only one more after this, isn’t that a nice thought to encourage yourself through the tough bits. You’re winning! And yes, definitely sparkly everything for number six! I’m still doing the exercises, it’s getting easier, still hurts but not so much and the scar is looking better, not black any more, just pink. I didn’t think it would take so long, but never mind, I’m going in the right direction.
Had a lovely day with the granddaughter, she’s a little darling… most of the time! We don’t see them often because they live quite a long way away, but it’s always a pleasure to meet up.
Mishy, the snowman didn’t happen, it all turned to slush! But we had a good time anyway. Dinosaur dominoes, anyone?! ?
Only a week and a bit for you now. It’s great to see all of us getting closer to the end of active treatment. I have the oncologist on 10 Jan to discuss next steps if any, still don’t know about rads, but it’s been nice not to even think about it over Christmas!
Tatyana I’ve also got my oncologist appointment on the 10th. Mine is for CT results to check it’s all worked ?

I also go back to work part time on the 9th January. That’s looming close now x
Thanks tatyana. It was about 8 weeks when I got full range back but I didn’t have as big an operation as you have had. It’s all about little steps and we will get there. Glad you had a lovely day even though you didn’t get chance to make ??shi xx
Carole, as I had inflammatory BC, normally they would automatically recommend rads. But I had rads to the same breast with my first cancer 15 years ago, and you can’t have it in the same place twice. So now the question is, whether to do more targeted rads to some of the lymph nodes around, because with modern technology they may be able to do this without overlapping the previous area! It depends on the final pathology reports and they may want another scan before deciding.
So I just have to be patient for a while! Not too worried about the rads if they do recommend it, because I know from experience it’s much easier than chemo!

Hi Ladies. Just a quick note to wish you all a very Happy & more importantly Healthy New Year. I think we all deserve some peace now, wouldn’t that be nice? Spent New Year in Devon with friends, it was lovely & a nice break, back to cleaning & washing now. Good luck with those of you finishing treatments, it won’t be long hopefully. I have a check up appointment 1/2/18 & another 26/2/18??? Just go with the flow, I need re-assurance constantly, so I’ll stick with it. Once again, thank you all for being there, I think I’d have gone mad (still not far off!) without you all. Xxxx
Kimi lovely to hear from you its not long for me now im onto the boosters then thats it till feb wher i see the onc and the surgeon xx its a daunting feeling in some respects will i always be wondering if or when its going to come back i only hope it doesn’t xxx but onwards and upwards i want to spend this year positively and happy x
