Just been to the doctors

Hi, I’ve just been to the doctors after finding a lump in my left breast, I’ve been referred to the hospital and I’m waiting for an appointment. I’m 18 and terrified.

Try to stay positive not all lumps are cancer but it best to get it checked.

Thank you very much :slight_smile: She didn’t sadly, she said I would hear from the hospital rather quickly though but then it depends on when the hospital book my appointment, I’m hoping it’s quite soon though Xx

Yeah she did say something about two weeks :slight_smile: she filled in an emergency form on her computer and sent it straight to the hospital xxx thank you all very much for your support X

She asked me to put my arm up on her shoulder when she examened me, and she did feel under my armpits too, she checked all over my breasts and armpits. I hate waiting in general so this is going to be even worse of a wait xxx thank you so much, it makes me feel so much better having people to come to :slight_smile: xxx

The nurse has put my mind at rest a bit definitely :slight_smile: there’s just so many things it could be its hard to stop the worrying and the waiting is awful but I don’t have to much longer to wait now. My mum is going to my appointment with me and she and my dad ask how I am every day and so does my boyfriend as he lives with us all too so I’ve got a lot of support which is amazing, and coming here and having an amazing amount of support too has just helped so much. Xx

I’m staying optimistic because it could be absolutely anything, I work 20
Hours a week and I’ve been doing overtime recently which has helped, I’ve been doing a lot with my mum and my boyfriend as my dads away with the navy so they’ve helped keep me distracted xx
