You certainly would and we would all want to marry you keep strong Barry you are doing everything you can do just try not to put too much pressure on yourself. My husband is having a night out once a week with his best mate so he has a bit of time to talk and time just for him xxxx
Yeah I feel like Iām going to have a breakdown. I thought it was meant to be easier after getting official diagnosis!
Bazza what was her diagnosis I havenāt seen it. I hope it was early enough for a good prognosis x
2cm lump with cancer in a suspicious lymph node they biopsied. ER positive with tamoxifen, HE negative ( I think I got them the right way round) Having lumpectomy and all lymphs removed on Tuesday. Then go from there, although have been told because of her age and being in at least one lymph that she will have chemotherapy and rads.
Things will get easier Barry, your still reeling from the shock at the minute , two weeks ago life was normal and now you are feeling like a bomb has been dropped on you, one minute i was full of excited planning my sons wedding then bam i didnt even know if id be here for it but i very much am its only 3 weeks away! These awful dark days are normal and everyone of us here have been where you are now but it wont last forever xx
Barry they will be able to tell more once she has got the results from her surgery waiting on all these tests are terrible. But itās all moving in the right direction. I got some diazepam from the doctor only 2mg but that helped me through the waiting time they are not very strong but they do help to keep calmer. Xxxxxx
Being impatient doesnāt help lol
Even the most patient person in the world would be tested with this xxxxxx
Oh yes Diazepam is your best friend at a time like this! I was on 10mg 3 x daily and they really helped, dont need them now xx
Thank you ladies it has been a tough couple of weeks but you wonderful lot have helped me through:) also I want to know how come you got 10mg and I only got 2mg jobey . Thatās not fair lol xxxxxx
Yeh ,Jo no wonder you sailed through after initial bad few weeks!!!
Hi all. I am back at home drain still attached. I am in quite a bit if pain ( an ANC hurts more than a masectomy!!) I am on the lovely Tranadol for pain this time. Less floaty. Fingers crossed now that there are only a few nodes and not a lot. Onwards and upwards xxx
Hi ange I bet your glad to be home and enjoy the tramadol. Get plenty of rest and you will be all singing and dancing very soon big hugs xxxxx.
Glad you are back home Ange, hope Tramadol does the job.
Amanda ,how did you get on with the surgeon today?
I got more calming effect from half a lager than 2mg.
Hi there just been diagnosed today!!! Still shocked. Feel a bit like I have been hit by a bus. Iām 37 and have a 1 and a 5 year old. I have invasive ductal ( think thatās it )?the more common one. The biopsy has showed it also in my lymph nodes so Iām having a mastectomy and node clearance. Followed by a strong course of chemo then radio. They are also planning body and bone scan which I have to say scares me more than the surgery and chemo. If anyone can offer me any reassurance about the scans and anything else that would be lovely xxx
You get bombarded with information in the beginning itās hard to take it all in.Sounds like your are ER positive, HER negative which means tumour affected by oestrogen.Tamoxifen or Letrozole if post menopause can help stop reoccurrence .
Hi Amanda sounds like itās coming together just another drug not trying to push them or anything:) but as much morphine as they will give you while you are in there. Xxxxxx
