Just diagnosed and wanting to talk to people who understand

Blondie do keep us updated on here with your progress. Are u having the op on Thursday? Dee xxx

That’s cool. Think I would prefer being at home as quickly as possible  hope u r not too sore xxx

Hi Jill, I think this whole fight seems to be more mental than physical at the moment. A total roller coaster with barriers at every turn. from all that you have said to other ladies you are a fighter ( yes we all have good and bad days). I know we have no choice in this but I think from what I have read you are in control. Big hugs xxxx

Doing my best Ange, that’s all we can do isn’t it?Do you have date for surgery?

Hi Jill still no date. I rang to speak to my BC nurse on Friday but I guess they had gone for the day. I will call them on Monday as I have heard nothing since my diagnosis and I am not doing well at this waiting game xxx

2 weeks ,then hopefully things will be a little clearer.Dont think other people realise what a long process this is do they?Marathon rather than a sprint.

Waiting is definitely the name of the game…Wait for biopsy results ,wait for surgeon appt, wait for surgery date, wait for results of surgery ,wait to see oncologist etc etc

Yep it the waiting game. I really does play with your head though. Never mind by next Wednesday it wiil be 2 weeks and they should have my other results and I should have a date xx

Small steps forward, better than going backwards! Was 2 weeks before I saw surgeon and got def date for op .

Thanks Jill. fingers crossed xx

I think your waiting is awful. I was given a date for surgery straight away at diagnosis. And had my lymph node biopsy results in recovery room after surgery. They did tell me I would get them before i was discharged that afternoon from day surgery. Cos they were clear surgeon couldnt wait to tell me. Wish all you girls could be at the Royal Marsden Chelsea. Its world class and before you ask i’m not private but NHS. Dee xxxx

Thank you Dee and Kim. I was diagnosed on 10 th June ( not a date I will forget in a rush) and had more biopsies on a different lump they had found and a core biopsy on my lympth nodes. I know pathology can take a while but I feel like I have been waiting forever but as Jill says at least I am moving forwards even if it’s slow xxx thanks ladies

Oh I am at Bedford Hospital xxx

Hi Suzie. Me too. My wire is at 10.00am then drive over to other hospital for op at 1 30pm. Good luck to you and I’ll be thinking of you! Cx

Good luck ladies, you will be just fine ? surprises me how different hospitals do things, I just had to be there for 7am then from 8 am was being sent between surgeon, anaesthetist, and ultra sound to have guide wire in, was on my way to surgery by 10 and on way home by 2 ?

Good luck Suzie and Ces. You can do it girls. And all us ladies on the forum send u a massive hug xxx. Heres to finally being free of ‘the lump’ xxxxx

Suzie, ces all the very best for tomorrow,  you will be home before you know it
