Could anyone help - I had my WLE 7 weeks ago all margins clear and SNB clear. As I was taking my bra off I found a lump at the bottom end of my scar. Will this be part of the healing process?

Hi Fin,
It could be anything but then it could be nothing. Is anything irritating your scar? could you have an infection? Not a lot you can do on a Saturday but you will need to put your mind at rest as soon as possible. Phone your BCN on Monday and explain your worries and hopefully she will see you quickly and get things sorted. If in the meantime the lump becomes painful and red that could indicate an infection and you would need anti-biotics. Phone your GP surgery and get the number for out of hours treatment.

I had lumpy areas on my WLE scar which seem to have settled and softened over time. I also had a lump which was fluid (seroma they call it) which they eventually stuck a needle in and drained, or its possible it could be some kind of infection. I’d just mention it to your BCN and they will check it out for you. If its an infection it might need antibiotics, if its fluid you might be needlessly uncomfortable because they can be quite sore xx
hello… i had a little lump at the end of my scar… i was told it was just a stitch … or the end of a stitch… just get it looked at but try not to worry , yours could be the same xx angie

Thanks - I think I may have done too much over the last few days. I played 36 holes of golf but haven’t done my proper exercises. It’s not at all inflamed or hot on the outside. However the lump that was taken out was 2.4cms so there is a quite a bit of healing to be done on the inside. I will speak BCN on Monday.
