I’m sure there will be lots of folk along soon. Check out some of the undergoing treatment threads to find people having the same things at similar times.
I am nearly 2 years since diagnosis but still pop back from time to time

Hiya,
Sooh sorry you’ve just being diagnosed. it is a big shock. i was only diagnosed myself about 2months ago. I am a bit further ahead of you but i fully understand how you feel. Just take one day at a time and try and keep positive… once you find out what your treatment plan is you might feel a little better…

Hello Melli, I am sorry that you are having to deal with this on your own. You have found the right place to speak to friends who know just how you feel and what you are going through. I first had BC in 1989 when I was 39 and had a mastectomy. I remember the feeling of being alone and having no one outside the family to talk to and I didn’t want to talk to them about how scared I was. The site was not around then.
I am not sure that this is the right place to post as many ladies may not see your message. But keep in touch and let us know how things are going. It is early days yet and you will still be in shock. Try to take one day at a time and once your treatment plan is in place you will be ablt to talk to ladies on here to help you through it. Lots of people are going through the same thing as you. Hug for you, Val

Hello Melli. I’ve just seen your message and very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and have had surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, herceptin and aromasin and I’m still here !
It must have been dreadful for you to have lost your husband to cancer. I must tell you, however, that I’ve done this entirely alone - I live alone - but have very good friends and neighbours who helped enormously when I was having treatment. - it can be done.
I know that once you have a treatment plan you will feel a lot better as you will know that you are doing something about the cancer. In the meantime, please take care and be sure to write to tell us what is happening.
Very best wishes
