Been for pre op checks this morning,. everyone v nice, except I am like a pin cushion because they couldnt find a vein to get blood. Going to try again tomorrow. All systems go for op next week except I still dont think Ill be able to make myself actually turn up. SPend a lot of time squashing boob down to see what Ill look like with one! Not a pretty sight. Doc I spoke to today was not terribly a fan of reconstruction either I got the impression. Hospital heaving today, every department I went to a long wait. Having worked in the offices there for a v long time I had never actually experienced the medical side but it seems very well organised, at least till you get on the wards. A friend of mine was in a few months ago for a hip op and was not favourably impressed at all. took her own antiseptic stuff and dusted too !
the doctor may not be a big fan of reconstruction but that is not relevant as presumably he’s not likely to have one
