Just had surgery results some advice/reassurance needed

Hi, I’m 30 was diagnosed with bc in feb it’s her2- hormone- with one node involved. I’ve had
Chemo which was very successful shrunk it from 12cm to 1mm.
Basically I’ve just had my mastectomy and the results are back
Surgeon says it was successful as the cancer was almost gone,
I had some lymphs removed and three were neg one pos it was grade 3
He says I have a good chance of survival. I’m on tamoxifen and due to
Have radiotherapy. I just really want to some advice or reassurance about this
Type of cancer. Has anyone had something similar? How long have you been
NED? I’m should be happy that my treatment is going so well but I’m still scared
I’ll be dead before I’m 35. Help! :frowning:

Mine is hormone negative sorry wasn’t clear in my original post I’m her2 neg and hormone neg. Thanks fir the bump :slight_smile: x

Just wanted to say that we’re not ignoring your post!! I’ve been watching with interest as am 33 and also scared.

There are some really hopeful and positive stories on other threads, but I think that many people who have moved on from breast cancer don’t come on the forum as much - so don’t get worried that there’s not a flood of people telling you their success stories. They’re out there - but they are happily getting on with their lives rather than spending time on the forum like us scared newbies!!

I’m behind you at the moment - halfway through chemo to try and shrink the lump - so I can’t help with reassurances yet, but can offer support from a similar aged girl going through a similar experience.

Don’t understand why you’re on Tamoxifen if your BC is hormone negative, it’s normally only prescribed for ER+ BC.

Yes me too confused I am triple negative and after chemo and rads there is no further treatment as tamoxifen or herceptin are only for horm,one positive cancers???
