Hi Galen
That’s brilliant news, I’m so pleased for you !. (I’m also on the NeotAngo trial but had 4 x EC first, now I’m on paclitaxel & gemcitabine.)
Considering how much we all despise the chemo, its so good to know its doing its job isn’t it ?
All the best for tomorrow !
Lots of love

Hi Galen.
I’m pleased to hear your treatment is progressing well - good luck.
Are you able to tell me any more about the trial? It is being offered to my mother in law (recently diagnosed stage III) and seems like a great opportunity to me (from what I have read and understand).
Any comment / advice would be gratefully received.
James
hi james
sorry for the delay in getting back to you, there are many advantages of joining a trial and i asked a lot of questions and spoke to my gp, the most reassuring advice he gave me was that so much money is being invested into breast cancer by the drug companies and new drugs and trials are so fast moving he cannot keep up with it !! and because the trials are financed by the pharmaceutical companies many extra tests are carried out that most hospitals would not provide, as part of my trial i had to go for a gamma camera scan at the nucleur medicine, i also had a marker inserted in my breast to show where the tumour is situated, i have extra check ups with the oncologist i would not have got this if i wasnt on the trial. I was dx with grade 3 invasive cancer and have to have chemo 1st as i have lymph node involvement, i have had 4 treatments of paclitaxol/gemcitibine i had this every 2 weeks and it was a bit of a long day as it is administered slowly but i handled it a lot better than i thought , i did feel a liitle tired but no sickness, i had my first ec treatment friday and that has made me feel tired and a bit sickly , i had a scan wednesday and was told my tumour has shrunk rght down so it is worth it , i will have 8 chemo treatments altogethet, surgery, rads and herceptin its a long road and im sorry you find youself here but you will get lots of support and info for you and your mother in law , take each day as it comes , think positive, i hope this helps, any more questions please do not hesitate to dop me a line
take care
