Kadcyla for stage 2?

Im just wondering what treatments happen after surgery i know im getting radiotherapy as i have 10cm of dcis. I am having a double mastectomy.

Currently im 3/6 tchp, my diagnosis is high grade dcis and idc stgae 2 grade 2 triple positive, i seen someone with satge 2 getting kadcyla ?

Hi, I’m triple positive, my tumour was 21mm (so stage 2) and I’m on Kadcyla. It is given if you don’t have a complete response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. I would ask your team about your own plan though and if Kadcyla is something that they are considering depending on your own surgery results

Thanks for the reply, yes my staging is stage 2 they did an mri right at the beginning and they think my invasive part was 12mm but couldnt be sure because of the dcis. Will have to wait till the pathology is back to find out what i will be on next ? Ive got 3 more chemos x

The pathology report from your surgery will give more information and will be able to say whether there has been a complete response from chemo or not. My oncologist knew that if I didn’t have a complete response then I’d be going on to Kadcyla though (before my surgery), and if I did have a complete response I’d just continue on my phesgo injections, so it’s worth asking what their plan would be dependent on your results.
