I had number one last Thursday. By Sunday my knees, femurs and ankle bones were really aching. I had trouble getting to sleep last night because of the ankle pain.
Has anyone had joint/bone pain with Kadcyla and did it last for the whole treatment term?
Hi @Alloway1 , I’m sorry you were in pain and couldn’t sleep. Have you felt better over the past couple of days?
Hi margot - just wondering how you’ve been getting on with kadcyla! I am going to be starting soon.
Hello,
The first 3 infusions were really challenging with high temperatures, constipation and an eye infection. However, the 4th infusion wasn’t too bad with only fatigue for the first 5 days or so. I’ve got my 5th infusion this Wednesday so I’m hoping all will go well ? Good luck for the start of this phase of your treatment. It’s arduous, isn’t it?
Best wishes,
M
Just sharing that I had my first manageable cycle for the 5th…
I think I may have had a 2nd dose reduction, owing to my platelets going very low between cycles. Anyway, the difference was I didn’t need to stay in bed / lying down, didn’t need co-codamol for liver mets pain & didn’t have the ’I’m completely empty’ style fatigue.
Let’s hope it’s working eh?!

Hello,
I have had my first Kadcyla on a Wednesday last week and by Sunday night I was in all kind of joint pain too. From finger to my stomach muscles everything felt like I have done a massive gym session and now I can’t move. It Lasted till Thursday. Friday (today) morning when I woke up is all gone. I am so happy. Now I am just tired.
13 more of these sessions and it better be easier each time because I have to go back to work !!!
May the force be with all of us We can do this
