Knee, hip and heel pain.

I am suffering terribly with pain, and stiffness, the pains in my hip and knees is worst in bed, keeps me awake most nights. I am very stiff first thing and take a while to get mobile. The pain in my heels is getting worse by the day, i can hardly walk today. After a visit to my gp last week, he told me to stop my tamoxifem for a week,(been on them 5 weeks now) to see if the pains lessened. Havent had any for 4 days, but the pains are as bad if not worse.

Is it only me? i didnt expect this, 7 weeks after chemo.
Oh and my little toe nail fell off today.

Hi Sharon,
Have you tried taking Tamoxifen at night instead of the morning as I’ve heard this can help?
Did your GP offer you painkillers?

i take my tamox at 7 in the evening. Ive been on tamox since April this year. Like you i have horrible hip/ankle pain. Can you take cod liver oil tablets?? they do seem to help a bit.
