large breast lump

Hi this is my first time, I am very concerned for my daughters partner {female} who had DCIS 4 years ago. This took 9 core biopsies before a definate diagnosis was made and in fact they gave her the option at the time as to having the lump removed or not. She made the decision to have it removed which was when they found the cancer.Unfortunately a couple of months ago she felt another lump. This was diagnosed as an oil cyst. again on return to the clinic she explained given the problems 4 years ago she asked if this lump be removed we saw 2 different consultants who in fact made the three of us feel we were over reacting. The second consultation brought the same response, but he said it was the size of a hens but to remove it,Zara would loose a lot of her breast. They said they were convinced the best way forward was to not remove this lump. Zara has other health problems multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis, therefore they felt she has more than enough to cope with without having surgery that in their opinion was not needed. Now 6 weeks later her breast is sore and hurts under her arm it looks pinkish and the appearance has changed. We have been back to clinic this week and were told there id definate change and she was right come back. £ core biopsies have been taken and results next tuesday, as you can imagine she is very scaraed, given they missed it every time 4 years ago. I know this is alot to read but very concerned. Louey

Hello Louey

What a worrying time for you all! I hope you get the results back quickly and that there is good news. I am sure others will be along soon to add their support and encouraging words but until they do please feel free to send me a message anytime.
