Last (5th) mammogram then discharge to GP

I have had my 5 mammograms now-waiting for the result of the last one, but I went to the GP a few weeks ago with an itching nipple which I’ve had off and on for 6-7 months-no discharge, no lumps etc, but an itch every now and then. She couldn’t see or feel anything and said ‘just one of those things.’ All looks normal, but it is the same breast I had an early breast cancer in in 2021.(76) I had a lumpectomy, and the four lymph nodes taken were all clear. I ‘fell outside the window of opportunity’ for radiotherapy as I asked for a second opinion, which took it over Christmas and I didn’t hear back from the oncologist until January.I took Letrozole for about 18 months, suffered awful side effects, changed to Aromasin for another year, then decided enough was enough, and that QOL was more important than length of life. Does anyone have any thoughts on this please? Should I worry?

If you are still concerned then perhaps try phoning the BCN Nurses to discuss itchy nipple and review any other signs and symptoms. Hope the last mammogram results are all clear. X
