Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed in Jan ‘22 , Chemo started following following month. Managed to get 7 behind me, and this week was due to be my finish date …before mastectomy surgery in 5 weeks time , followed by Radiotherapy. But today, my summer cold, isn’t a cold…it’s Covid
Has this happened to anyone else, and If so what happened ?
I didn’t have it happen with chemo but I had it happen last week the day before my surgery. They cancelled and are making me wait 13 days thereby my surgery will be next Tuesday nstead Luckily I don’t have to test again and nothing should stand in my way next time. I hope they’ll reschedule you quickly, too, as soon as you recover. So sorry this happened. I know you want it behind you and the delay covid causes is frustrating beyond belief.
Hi @MeMeGrumps
I also tested positive, having had my final chemo last week. I’m taking antiviral tablets now, called Paxlovid, they’re supposed to help clear the virus from your system.
They do seem to interfere with many other meds, so have to be prescribed with care.
Hope you’re not feeling too bad, Jules XX
