Iv struggled this time going to loo. Phoned chemo ward . And they send me somethink to take I got 2 thinks tablets called senna 2 tablets at night plus macrogol powder sachets. has any body else had these and did you take both or just one. As dont want to spend all day on loo.

Hard luck. Constipation plagued me throughout. I was worried about extremes but found senna had little effect. If it’s the round brown tablets, they won’t have a major impact though daily use may help. Senna is a laxative that has been used since the time of the Pharaohs! In my case, chemo affected internal muscle movement and senna wasn’t an astounding success. Combined with the sachets which will add bulk and soften the stool however, you may find success. Try each on its own and if there’s no result, go for the combination. After a couple of weeks of inactivity, you’ll probably welcome any outcome! All the best xx
