I am post EC5 - one more to do - but had to shave my legs for the first time this morning … eeek! Does that mean the chemo’s stopped working? Or have I had my fill? Should I panic??
Please don’t panic, it won’t mean anything about how the chemo is working. Lots of people find - annoyingly - leg or armpit hair is the first to return, and it can be before chemo ends.
I am pretty sure my leg fuzz returned before any other hair, and that was after three FEC and then two Tax. so five our of six doses all in all. My head hair followed soon after and I had sparse designer stubble by the time I ended my chemo.
Everyone is unique and it is just extremely perverse that leg hair wants to show itself in this way.
mine didn’t fully dissapear. now it’s back, but a lot finer. you can only see it close up, so i’m leaving it well alone.
Thanks Revcat - its a pain in the arse is what it is! No blummin hair on my head yet hair peeking out on my calves … whats that all about… grumble grumble moan moan …
Worse is when the first hairs back are the chin bristles…
