Legs really aches, Is this normal

Hi, I had my breast cancer treatment in 2020 (full works - both breasts) Did start taking Tamoxifen but side effects got too much so I am now on Letrozole. I have mobility issues since I had chemo - legs feel very heavy and really ache so I can’t stand/walk for long periods of time. Jogging/ running is definitely a no go. Does anyone else have these issues?.
Thank you.

Dear She123,
Welcome to the forum, we are all here for you. So sorry to hear that you are feeling so uncomfortable with your legs, this could be to do with the medication your taking, maybe give your breast cancer team a call I feel sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.

Wishing you well, lots of luck going forward

Big hugs Tili :pray::rainbow::pray::rainbow:

Hi Tili,
Thank you for your reply.

I have mentioned this to the Docs - swapping meds, having tests but now it just makes me feel that I don’t appreciate what has been done for me which I truly do and am thankful for.

It was suggested that I reach out within the Breast Cancer community to see if anyone else has these issues and if they had any ideas to how I could move forward. I try to go for walks every day - success is abit hit and miss as my legs have other ideas.
I would be grateful for any advice/tips.
Big love and thanks

She123, hopefully one of the ladies will pick up on your post who have the same problems. Myself I had lots of problems with meditation, not sure the doctors really understand how we are feeling dad after day.

Big hugs lovely lady Tili :rainbow::pray::pray:

Hi Shel , welcome to the forum may be worth asking the nurses in the forum about this issue either by posting in the Ask our Nurses your questions or giving them a ring on the helpline number .
Have you had any investigation regarding your leg / mobility issues post chemo ?

Helpline number 0808 800 6000

PS never feel “ungrateful “ / a nuisance for asking for things that have a big impact on your life to be investigated .

Hi Jill,

Thank you for your advice and kind words.
Yes I’ve had scans on my legs and that came back ok but have been diagnosed with osteoporosis since.
I’ve developed various side effects which I have troubleshot myself- changing meds etc, My legs has been the constant problem no one could answer.
I will get in touch with the nurses here.
Hope you are doing well,
Take care, best wishes
