Letrozole and dry mouth?

Anyone had this? Been on this drug for a month and am noticing dry mouth and thirst.

Hello,

Unfortunately this became a major side effect for me, starting about 6 months after starting Letrozole. I have now finished my 5 year “sentence”

Lots of drugs have this side effect including amitriptyline which I was on at the time. About a year later I was diagnosed with Burning Mouth Syndrome and went to an oral clinic and was given loads of things to try, mouthwash etc etc. Nothing really helped with BMS as it seems it is caused by a lack of Oestrogen and 1 in 3 ladies during menopause get it and I suppose while I was on Letrozole it wasn’t going to go away.

Anyway re your dry mouth, sipping water, chewing gum or sucking ice cubes has helped, the gum mainly. I have seen posts from ladies re dry mouth so you are not alone and I think I was just unlucky with the BMS.
