Letrozole and tummy pain

I’ve recently started taking Letrozole (11 days ago) and after about three days of taking it I’ve had a constant pain in my tummy.
I know it’s one of the side effects you can have, but will it eventually subside as my body gets used to the medication?

Thank you.

Hello Sunshine7

Thanks for posting.

Many women who start taking Letrozole will experience side effects to begin with. Often these settle down within the first few months as your body adjusts to the medication. However, sometimes they can last longer and cause distress and disruption to everyday life.

We would suggest you talk to your breast cancer nurse, treatment team or GP about the constant tummy pain you are experiencing. They may be able to offers ways of improving your symptoms. You may also want to keep a diary of the pain and any other symptoms. This will be helpful when you are talking to your team and will help you identify anything which helps or make things worse.
