Letrozole

  • Started taking Letrozole 3 weeks ago for BC, feeling terrible, joint pains, brain fog, dizziness and nausea. I am hoping it will pass. BCN says one of best meds to take and to take the same brand. Said symptoms should ease after few months. I have been taking it in the mornings so will try taking in the evenings as suggested here.

I’ve been taking it since May. My oncologist told me to take right before bed. I haven’t had any major side affects. The sides affect I have had are due to lack of estrogen.

Hi, if you don’t feel any better after persevering with your current brand I would suggest asking the pharmacist for a different brand. Apparently the carrying agents can be different and cause different side effects. I started off on Accord but when the prescription changed to Sun pharmaceuticals I was so ill and developed trigger thumb within days. I went back to the pharmacist and discussed with GP went back on accord and after about 3 weeks the trigger thumb was better.  Now I’m still suffering other side effects but I just couldn’t cope with the trigger thumb it was agony.

I hope that you find something that you can take without too many side effects.

Take care
