Hi, I had LICAP surgery about 3 weeks ago and am finding that my armpit and arm are getting more painful and movement less. I spoke to the breast nurse on the phone yesterday and she said that it sounds like cording. I was wondering if it is normal for the pain to increase like this, I also start feeling shivery when I try to get up to do things although I don’t actually have a temperature. I’m due for surgery again next week as the margins weren’t big enough and they found cancer in the lymph nodes. I’m feeling concerned having surgery in an arm that’s already painful and wondered if anyone else has been through this and if their arm recovered ok?

Hi I have just seen your post and wondered how you had got on? Especially with the second surgery.
I am having a lumpectomy with licap procedure, and axillary lymph node clearance, tomorrow. How have others got on with surgery? X
