Life Insurance

Hi ladies I wonder if anybody else has come across this, my daughter was trying to get better life insurance, she’s 32 in good health, no problems really… they asked for details of any family illness’s , because I have BC (no one else in my family has /had cancer of any kind)they wanted double premiums !!
I am so glad she has insurance in place so she won’t be changing but is this usual practice ?
As if we don’t have things hard they now take it out on our family.

It is common to ask family history however not necessarily to rate it because of one case within that family. Tell her to get a referral to an IFA via her friends. The IFA can then run quotes and contact the underwriters of the top companies to check out their criteria. Some are harsher than others.
