Liver readings after Kadcyla

Hi, I finished 14 rounds of Kadcyla at the start of March. My liver function has peaked and troughed above the baseline all the way through. I had bloods done last week to check it was tracking back down, it has but only marginally has gone from 78(?) to 75. I am now booked in for an ultrasound to check my liver, has anybody else had high readings and it’s just taken a while to come back down? I’m 48 and a healthy weight and had normal liver readings before treatment. Feels like I’ve ended one journey and started another. Thank you

Hi,

A month after I had finished 2 years of Abemaciclib last November, my ALT went from 40 to 230 in December when it was checked prior to my last zometa infusion. The following week it was 112, a month later 85 and the following month 83. No one is sure why my ALT increased so much after I had completed my treatment. I have had one further test which showed my ALT was 52. As I am well and the levels are reducing and my liver ultrasound sound was okay and GGT had returned to normal levels, no further follow up has been requested.

My alt has been over 100 on keynote for tnbc, the doctor talked about taking away my immunotherapy…. Turned out to be due to eating a lot of cheddar cheese to try to increase my protein intake! Cut that out and it’s been pretty much normal since. I have pcos too which can have underlying pathology that relates to tnbc and fatty liver. As my alt went back down I didn’t meet the criteria for any further liver investigations but before starting treatment it was noted on my staging scans that I had a fatty liver lesion. Have you looked at other potential causes to see if there’s anything else going on that could have caused it?

Finished Kadcyla last July and I’m still waiting for my liver numbers to go back down to normal. Scans are clean, so no one seems particularly concerned but I’ll be seeing a gastroenterologist soon to see if he has any ideas on what is keeping levels elevated.

From my investigations and talking to people, it doesn’t seem super uncommon for it to take a while for things to settle after treatment because your body has been through a lot over an extended period of time.

I had Diep 5.5 weeks ago, so that and drugs is probably the cause of my latest spike.
