Living In Cardiff

Hi
I have recently had my op and I will start chemo treatment next week. So I wanted to find ladies in my area going through the same thing or have gone/will go through the same. The hardest has been to come from a busy, full time work mother of one lifestyle to staying at home, so it would be nice to relate to someone in the South Wales area. Sophie

Hi Miss Q, there is a south wales meet up on friday 6th april in cardiff, they meet the 1st friday of the month, if you look on here its under anyone fancy a south wales meet up x

Hi tob21,

Thank you for that. I cant make this friday but will definetely look out for the next one.
Cheers

Hi Miss Q
I was at the lunch time meet in Cardiff last Friday and we would love you to be part of the group. I’m a fairly new member, having only been twice, but I find the meetings are both comforting and inspiring, as well as having a good chin wag.
I had my mastectomy two years ago and like you was stuck at home for 9 months. Having said that, I found the time at home was needed as it really helped me to come to terms with what had happened to me, both physically and emotionally. I’ve ad lots of reassurance from other ladies about side effects of the drugs I’m on and what to to expect from an up coming op I’m due to have in May. I’m also inspired by the courage and fortitude of some of the members, who have experienced far worse times than myself.
Our next meeting is on friday May 4th at Trenchers Deli Cafe in Windsor Place. Anne S has organised the meetings and like Tob explained to you all posts for the meetings appear on South Wales meet ups. If you need any further info I’d be only too happy to help.
Look forward to seeing you in May.

Hi Annys

Thank you for your email. I would love to come to the meeting in May and will put it in my diary.

Hi Miss Q,

Have only just spotted your thread. I started organising the meet-ups in Trenchers Cafe,Windsor Place,Cardiff (just off Queen Street near the Capitol Centre end) a few months ago and you’d be very welcome to join us. It’s just an informal meet-up over coffee/lunch to chat about whatever you feel like. We’re a mix of primary and secondary ladies and we have a good natter and a few laughs along the way too!
We meet on the first Friday of every month from 11.30am so the next meeting is next Friday 4th May.
There were 6 of us at the last meeting.
I look forward to meeting you but if you have any queries do feel free to private message me and I can send you my mobile in case you can’t find us.

Best wishes,
Anne x

Hi wonderful Cardiff ladies. If any of you are interested in joining a large choir/singing group in Cardiff do private me for details. Rehearsals will start mid June and travel costs can be covered. No singing experience needed - it’s all about gaining the benefits of being part of a special group

Get in touch xx

Hi, will there be a meeting this Friday (1st June). I haven’t been before and a natter sounds good.
