Hi, after having lobular cancer in 2018, I had 2 lumpectomy’s and radiotherapy to remove a large lump. Had several different types of reconstruction and until 4 weeks ago everything was fine. I have cysts and fat necrosis so have to be careful whilst checking for any new lumps.
I found a new lump under my armpit, not connected to the reconstruction area. Went to the hospital who are concerned, had 2 biopsies taken and returning 12/3 for results.
Today I have found another lump on my chest wall, it’s quite a bit above my breast on the same side, so you can imagine I’m worried. It wasn’t there when I went to the breast clinic Monday. Should I ring the hospital and tell them or just wait until I go for my results in March?

I would ring better safe than sorry , and the nurses do tell you any changes to let them know , it will put your mind at rest

Could it really be anything sinister? It’s only been a little over a week since a doctor checked for any other lumps. Could a cancerous lump grow that quick?
Sorry, I’m just worried of getting to the hospital and them saying it’s just more fat necrosis etc. xx
Firstly, sorry to hear what you are going through. The new lump you have noticed may well be nothing to worry about, but I think you will feel better if you mention it. Your team are there to support you, both emotionally and physically, so I would give them a call. Wishing you all the best.

Hi ladies, thank you for your replies. Sorry I haven’t replied sooner but my cousin has just been diagnosed with the same breast cancer as I had and she has had so many questions, so I’ve been busy supporting her and Not focusing on myself so much.
I feel in an awkward position because of all the operations I have had, 5 in total, which has left bumps etc. However, it’s only the last few months that my breast has changed shape, got a lot of cysts and bumps, so it started worrying me before I found the lumps. The one under my armpit is 40mm so quite big, the other lump that I talk about above is only 10mm I would say and could be another cyst but this one is sore, unlike the other cysts.
I rang the hospital and was told to try not to worry and that they would have a good look at the new lump and have my biopsy results ready for me too.
I know a lot of people are going through a lot worse than me and I feel bad even mentioning it but I am worried. I guess I’m coming to you lovely ladies because I don’t want to tell family members yet apart from my husband.
