Hi Girls,
I went to the hospital and the mamogram did not show anything different to the MRI, thank goodness. I can not have the mx till 16th July which I was a bit dissapointed about because I just want to get on with the treatment etc, the reason is that I still have the shingles rash on my back, so the surgeon said that she wants it clear before she operates, so another 2 week wait im afraid. I am going to have a nice soak in the bath and a early night, been quite a hectic day.
Love to you all,
Jillxx
thats good news Jill
hope they can get those wee shingles buggers under control soon too.

Hi Girls, Just thought I would let you know that the shingles have finally gone and I have had confirmation from the hospital that mx will be done this Friday 16th. I am a little nervous but have come to terms with it more now. My BCN is coming to see me today to have a chat about things. Hope you are all feeling ok today.
Lots of Love

Hi Jill
I’ve only just seen your post but thought I’d add a message to say I’m keeping you company: my first diagnosis was Nov 2004, regional recurrence in lymph nodes diagnosed in June 2010. I really thought I’d said goodbye to cancer.
So I’ve also had a mx 2 weeks ago with lymph clearance (last time I had WLE with lymph sampling). The mx wasn’t actually as bad as I thought it would be. I’m still a bit stiff and have a smallish seroma, but I can honestly say at the moment I couldn’t care less about the missing boob, I’m just relieved the first phase is over. And then on with the treatments for both of us!
Good luck on 16th. Really hope you make a speedy recovery. xxx Jane
Hi Jane, Your company is much appreciated. Thanks for the encouragement on the mx, like you I will be glad when it is over, and pleased you are recovering well Jane. I am much better than I was last week, think it is just the shock of it coming back that hits you then the fighting spirit kicks in. I dont know yet what other treatment I will be having, will only know after the operation. You are a little ahead of me so I may be calling on you for some sdvice along the way if thats ok. I will keep in touch Jane.
Love

Hello Julian,
I am leaving a very similar ordeal to yours.
I am looking to have immediate reconstruction and if so, the op will not be before September as the surgeon is on holiday. Saying that, I was assured that there is no “urgency” and that only after the op they will be able to tell me whether or not I will need further treatment, other then tomexofin or equivalent.
I am not coping very well with the thought of waking up with nothing but in the other end I am concerned about the extensive surgery that comes with reconstruction…
I wish you a speedy recovery and let us know how you get on.
Anne
