Local recurrence

I am getting a bit more impatient after nearly three months between finding a lump and having a team looking at my results to come up with a treatment plan. I fear asking to transfer to another hospital after I got my diagnosis has delayed matters as for some reason my GP sent in my referral as a non urgent one which can take between 4 and 6 weeks. Given the 19 years since my first diagnosis and my new lump maybe an extra three months isn’t that critical but I am surprised it’s taken so long. unless we can blame covid, staffing shortages and maybe my greater age. Perhaps I have gone to the back of the queue

I don’t know how it works with the NIH but could you go private? I agree three months seems entirely too long when you have a recurrence.
