Hello Ladies
Went to see consultant on friday… 9 out of 14 lymph nodes were involved!! Lump was thought to be 2.5cms but was actually 7cms :open_mouth:
Have to have chemo & radiotheraphy…And will take tabs for 5 years after! Sooooo much to take in…
Felt very emotional as i said my thankyous to my consultant who is amazing!! Even offered to take us all on holiday when treatment finished (and meant it)!!
I am very thankful that we have private health insurance, as i have been seen, diagnosed, operated on, advised etc within 3 weeks!! Some results i have been given same day, others no longer than 2 days waiting and i just wish it could be more like this for everyone :frowning:
Feeling very positive still, just want the chemo started and finished so i can move on and be ‘normal’ again… Purchased my first hat yesterday and am going to visit the specialist wig place next monday to get the ball rolling…
Thankyou all for being soo supportive, and in my own time i’m sure i’ll repay the kindness.x.x.x.x.x.x
Hope you’re all well…Lots of Love.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x

Hi Lauren

I know you have to go through all that treatment but in a way it must be good to know whats next, I have probably another week or so to find out and am not looking forward to it. But like you I just want to get on with it so I can get on with the rest of my life. Hi Paula could you whisper my you phone number again cant find it on here and didn’t write it down then I can give you a ring this week.

Thanks Debs xxx

Not overdoing it, husband is playing ‘mummy and daddy’ so i’m resting for now…Even though i’m desperate to get back into things…

Good luck with the treatement Lolly. There is so much to take in at this stage isn’t there - glad you ahve a supportive husband beside you so you are not alone.

Are you having all your treatment privately?

Yes! All treatment staying private.x.x

I had my initial tests up to dx and then my surgery done private - however after that, on the recommendation of my consultant I went back into the NHS. He said that I would get access to a bigger and better oncology team and also I would be referred to the Beatson in Glasgow for my rads … in his opinion I would get a better follow-up with the NHS.

The main advantage in going private to begin with was the speed of dx etc - the downside of being half and half was that there was some stuff that kind of got overlooked in the transition (like physio).
