Hi Triple Negative Friends
In October 2025 I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (Ductual) found both in the breast and 2 lymph nodes.
Unfortunately I have a heart condition which means my heart pumps out at around 57% because of this I was not offered the usual chemo before surgery or offered a reconstruction as the surgeons felt this would have a detrimental effect on my heart. Therefore, I have undergone a flat mastectomy and lymph node clearance (right side).
Two oncologists have now said that although I could have chemo that would be putting myself forward for maybe heart failure and that their follow-up letter would be very negative if I done so, and that the only follow up treatment available to me is radiotherapy. They say there are no other alternatives? I don’t know if this is true?
I do know that the oncologists have not asked the opinion of the cardiologists at the hospital on their opinion.
I am so utterly depressed and scared.
I am looking for friends, who are or may have had a similar situation to mine?
