38 y/o with her 2 positive mbc. Looking for others with mbc to talk to. Feeling really alone… ?

Hi I thought I was young to have MBC. I am 46. I was diagnosed in June. I am having a CT scan on Friday. I am so scared. I am praying the drugs are working. Have you got any family? Annie

Please don’t be scared . I am 52 diagnosed straight in at stage 4 18 months ago and still here and living normally. I think there is a link to younger ladies with Mbc on the site . Take care not all doom and gloom once you have a treatment plan Wendy x

Hi there, just wanted to add to this site. no need to panic i had primary in my 30’s then it came back when i was 50, couldn’t get proper diagnosis until 54 because i’d come back from abroad( still no excuse though),

i’m now 60 and still being treated.

Estrogen related brest cancer.

We can often go on for quite a while.

youre welcome here, MBC is practically all we talk about! And you are not alone. Where are your mets? There are lots of threads relating to particular types of spread. I was diagnosed straight in with liver mets at primary diagnosis aged 44. I’m now 55 and have a good quality of life, still working and keeping fit. I’m HER 2+ as well and there have been such advances in treatment for this type of BC that we are now in a relatively favourable position in comparison to other types. I’m currently on a targeted chemo (Kadcyla) that uses herceptin to ‘lock on’ to the Her2 surface of the cells then pushes the chemo in to just those cells. So clever.

Hello all

I went yesterday to see the oncologist about my results, yippee the letrozol and palbo are working. The cancer in breast and lymph nodes have reduced about 75per cent. This has taken about 4 months. She couldn’t see the spine as the CT scan isn’t realistic for bone. So in 2 months she will send me for a PET scan. I am over the moon. So positivity all the way xxx
