Looking for prothesis

Hi everyone,
I am a survivor but do not have insurance. I am looking for a place that might have prothesis that I could get one free of cost. I had one but it is now 6 years old and it is falling apart. I have looked locally without able to find a place.

anyone where i can look for a donation for a prothesis?

Thankyou

You may want to try reaching out to organizations such as the Amputee Coalition or the Challenged Athletes Foundation, as they may be able to provide assistance or direct you to resources for obtaining a new prosthesis. You can also try searching for local non-profits or charities that focus on helping amputees. It may also be worth speaking with your doctor or prosthetist, as they may have knowledge of resources in your area. H‑E‑B Partner Net

Hi, I don’t know if you’ve heard of a charity called Knitted Knockers, but I’d highly recommend them. Volunteers knit (or crochet) breast forms and send you plenty of stuffing to adjust the shape and size - I believe if you are larger they suggest weighting them slightly. These “knockers” are comfortable and are provided free of charge - although of course donations are welcome. They’re definitely worth a try. I’ve used them for years now and wouldn’t go back to ordinary prosthesis - they also do ones with different filling suitable for swimming.
