My wife has ER+/PR+ HER2- BC but her PR value is only 5%. Researching this online it seems that treatment and recurrence for low value PR is similar to TNB and that hormonal therapy may not be so effective. Hoping someone has someone has some experience with this. Also couldn’t find any info regarding how effective chemo is in reducing recurrence. Oncotype is 29 showing a 10% benefit but not sure how accurate this is since it includes the use of hormonal therapy.
I’ve never heard of that but am sure someone on here may do.
I looked at the Predict website to help me look at how chemo, radiotherapy and hormone therapy can help to reduce re accuracy but at the end of the day it’s just numbers and %, every cancer and treatment is different.

I have PR- as well, and am worried. Did anyone respond to you about this and how is your wife doing?
I’m PR -ve, ER +8. I never considered the significance of the low PR until I saw your post, but that’s because I’m also Her2 3+, so know I’ve got enough recetors promoting growth. Stopped taking tamoxifen myself as its known to be less effective and wasn’t worth the horrible side-effects. Almost seems ironic that I had zero PR, considering that rising progesterone certainly makes my boobs more heavy and sore from the day after ovulation until my period. My normal breast cells certainly know when progesterone is flowing around.
I’ve not heard it likened to triple negative in difficulty of treatment, however, so perhaps that is a stretch and needs more reserching.
