Lower back cramps like menstrual pain

Hi there,

For the last week, I’ve been getting uncomfortable cramps in my lower back. They remind me of the cramps I use to get before my period. However, I have been on Zoladex for over a year and a half so everything should be shut down there. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have started taking Evening Primrose Oil recently and also take Calcium and Glucosamine Sulphate regularly? Could they be the cause of these cramps?

I also wonder is it something to do with holding tension in that area - if that is possible? Don’t think it’s anything very sinister but pretty uncomfortable to have. Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks a mil,

teacup

Hi teacup

You may find it useful to have a look at the BCC fact sheet on Zoladex as it may be able to answer some of the questions you have.

To have a look at this just follow the link below:-

Thanks for that Sam. The cramps aren’t constant so I’m ok most of the time. Did a search on old posts here and did not find anyone else with the same problem. Think it might be gas or water retention maybe - that was my sister’s thoughts on it. I’m not that worried but if it persists anyway, I’ll pop along to my doctor. Thanks a mil. teacup
