Lump after drainage

Hi, so 3 years ago I had a lump, scanned and told it was fine but biopsy was done because of my age at the time (25). came back all fine.

Fast forward 3 years I found another lump, from my first dr’s appt to the breast clinic appt was 2-3 months within this time the lump had enlarged greatly and painful. Went to my breast clinic appt where the consultant found some other bits also that needed looking at, the ultrasound tech was able to say these were normal, however my large lump needed draining, but she did not say what it was, if it looked fine and after draining she checked again and didn’t say anything. Saw the consultant again and he said he would expect the lump to have gone completely after drainage, it wasn’t at all, if anything parts of it now more prominent to feel, he said it needed a biopsy to rule out anything sinister, I would get my results and then we could make a plan from there. The ultrasound tech being unable to tell me what it is (although she could with the others) along with the consultant saying ‘make a plan’ has worried me.

Has anyone ever had a hard lump remain after drainage? I’ve also had shooting arm pain with this larger lump

Currently waiting for my results and just very anxious

Sorry for the long post!

Hi @jc0l ive not had this situation so can’t offer any advice. Hopefully some others will have some for you soon. I hope the results come back soon though so you know what you are or are not dealing with. The waiting is the hardest part right now but try to keep busy, not overthink it and don’t google it. Dr Google is too good and telling you you’re dying or dead already. We’re all here for you whether that be for a rant, reassurance or for questions. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
