Lump after mastectomy with expanders

Diagnosed with breast cancer Local recurrence or new primary diagnosis

Hi  

I had a mastectomy in May with immediate reconstruction using expanders. I also finished radiotherapy some days ago. 
In case of recurrence in the breast/chest area, how does it feel? Do you have a lump? Does it feel hard? Or soft? I feel something in my expander but its feels like some plastic.
