Lump after mastectomy

Hi I’ve found a small hard immovable lump near to my mastectomy scar. Diagnosed with bc in December 2023. ER/PR positive, HER2 negative. Mastectomy January 2024. Chemo Feb 2024 due to cancer cells in two sentinel lymph nodes. Radiotherapy July 2024 and been on Tamoxifen since along with Prostap monthly injections and 6 monthly Zometa infusions. Anyone else experienced this and what it’s turned out to be? Is there a chance it could be a local recurrence so soon after treatment has finished? In a panic!

Hi
I see you’re still waiting on replies on this … I haven’t had experience of this personally but I’m sure one of our members will comment when they can. Or you can perhaps post this to the Breast Care nurses in the relevant section of the forum.
Thinking of you - you’ve been through alot and now this additional worry x

It could be fat necrosis. I’ve only just had my mastectomy but it’s something I’ve been told to look out for. Get yourself down to the GP Monday and get it checked out.

Try not to worry - I know that’s easier said than done!!

That’s amazing. I can understand the fear but so glad it’s nothing to cause alarm. Now breath! Xxxx
