Hey everyone new here, the wait is terrible currently wakening with sore heads and so up and down about it. Looking for any advice or any one in or been in a similar situation

Feel like I’m going crazy

In short, had a tiny lump on right breast lower inner 6.5years ago. Sent to breast clinic had no scans but they did do a needle aspiration biopsy and dignoised as a cyst.

Fast forward 6.5years now breastfeeding my baby is now 8months. I’ve noticed it’s got bigger and visible under skin nothing on surface. No pain. Im worried as went to gp who said they really should have done an ultrasound as could have missed something with just a needle aspiration.

Has anyone been through something similar? Misdiagnosed years before…

I have an urgent appt on Saturday at breast clinic but worried sick. But also think surley there would be other symptoms by now unless it can stay dormant and progress at a later stage.

Hi ebeb,

The waiting is absolutely the worst part, but they should be able to give you a much better idea on Saturday. Try to hold on to the fact that most lumps are benign/not cancerous, although I know from experience that the waiting anxiety doesn’t go away until you have the full picture.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I keep trying to tell myself not to be silly that it is more unlikely to be C and its a growing cyst. But then have a wobble what if, could it be, if it is will it be late stages considering been there a long time

Trying to keep busy and hopefully Saturday comes round quickly
