Lump in breast- Benign Biopsy

Good Evening All

So here is my story, hoping someone might have gone through something similar and can offer some advice.

6 months ago I was going for my yearly physical and noticed a small lump in my right breast so mentioned it to my doctor( have a strong family history of breast cancer with 2 aunts diagnosed before 45)

I was sent for a mammogram, and because of having dense breasts also an ultrasound. The mamo was clear the ultrasound showed a small suspicious nodule that needed biopsy. Biopsy thankfully came back benign, benign fatty breast tissue. Needless to say I was so relieved. So last week was doing a self exam, had not done one since the biopsy. I am feeling a small hard lump in a different location, definitely feels off and not how it usual feels but am thinking/hoping it a just some lumpy tissue or something. Guess I’m wondering if it could be a possible for something to have been missed. I have follow up apt in 3 weeks so will discuss with the specialist. Just wanted to see if anyone else went through anything similar.

Be well xoxo

Cleo82, you are always right to get any breast changes checked out always be safe, it might also be worth you asking for a gene test to see if you carry the brca gene, with the family history always worth asking for it and sometimes even if no family history of breast cancer people can have the faulty brca gene. You are being vigilant and that’s good, it’s easy to get busy with life and forget to check, so don’t be hard on yourself, the main thing is you are getting it checked out and not ignoring it :two_hearts: :two_hearts: :sparkles: :sparkles: Shi xx
