Tonight I have noticed a change. I now have what feels like a very hard vein running from the lump towards my nipple (is this worth seeing the doc about in the mean time…I have no idea) This is such a massive mess to the mind! Fingers crossed also that yours is another fatty lump again. I have noticed that I get the odd pain/ache in that area but I think I can pin point it to the area just above the lump. I’ve got everything crossed for you. Will let you know how I get on, on Monday. Although you’ll probably hear from me before then as the day gets closer. Already going out of my mind and fighting to stay off of Dr Google x
Don’t go on Google as I made the mistake of doing so last year & I scared myself silly and it ended up being nothing. I have convinced myself that this time it maybe more serious as I have never experienced pain like this in my breast before its awful & it’s only painful on the breast with the lump 
it’s hard not to worry and think the worst. IF you feel concernd about the new issue then visit you gp although they will probably say wait to see the specialist on Monday got everything crossed for the both of us x
Went back to the doctor today just to be on the safe side cos the lump has gone a bit mad since I saw the doc last week. The indentation is getting really deep and I now have either tightly pulling tendons or veins (doc can’t tell) he said its prob a good sign it’s changing so fast but the fact that it still doesn’t hurt means he doesn’t think it it’s a cyst or an infection it could be fibrotic but again because it doesn’t have any pain he can’t say for def but they don’t always have pain do they?. He can’t define the original lump because it has become too lumpy so still just have to wait out the appointment on Monday. So still none the wiser but a little happier that I don’t have an about to pop cyst in there x
Glad you saw the GP when I went back to my GP about a week ago for something else she asked if she could feel my lump and examine my breast as when I went and was refered it was a locum who I saw & how refered me, she felt the lump and said she thinks it’s nothing to be concerned about and that they really only worry if the lump gets bigger or you have blood from the nipple! But I feel like a lump could be anything it could be soft / hard / squishy whatever last year wen I had that fatty lump I had no pain with it and it was moveable some people say they get pain in the lump & others don’t , I haven’t got pain so much in the lump it’s more just like shooting pains in my left breast in general ; also my lump feels knobby like you said it has no defined shape which concerns me really. It could be fibrocystic changes like the gp mentioned to you it’s hard trying to stay positive isn’t it x
It really is. No matter how many times people try to reassure. We won’t feel settled until we know for def. the Dr said that our screening unit is really great and they always try to triple test (think he means, mammo, u/s and biopsy although I’d think Im Prob to young for mammo) and give you as many results as they can on the day. I also realised this morning I have an outpatient app on the 20th as well. So all being said I should have a full picture by then I should imagine. Stay positive x
Yes just think by this time next week hopefully both of us will have the all clear, it is awkward as I haven’t told many people about it but the people ive told are like you’ll be fine your only Young everyone thinks it’s an older persons disease but it is no not anymore sadly please let me know how you get on. Yea i don’t think I will have mammo as I am only 25 they tend to use ultrasound more in under 40s I believe/ keep strong x
Glad you have your appointment!! Not long to wait! Even tho it feels sooo long! Just make sure u keep busy! I went back to the docs and he didn’t even check my breast again he has put me on anti depressants for my anxiety and have to go back in 2 weeks if I’m still not feeling great! The pain in my left breast did ease for a couple of days but is now really painful again! Not just to touch it even hurts when I’m working or doing general housework! I do keep prodding it every night to check for lumps! Xxx
I was the same last year cazza when I found the lump in my right breast I kept poking and prodding so much my boob was agony & my partner said leave it alone and the pain subsided then! But I also like you have been getting the pain like shooting / stabbing pains and they only seem to be happening on the Breast with the lumps! I know there are a few reasons to get pain in breasts but concerns me as its only happening on the one I actually experienced the breast pain for a few weeks and then I thought to examine my breasts and found the lump/lumps! I am sure the more I keep feeling the more I keep finding!! Hopefully you will start to feel a bit better soon if not make sure your gp refers you again as I am pretty sure you should of Atleast had an ultrasound , only a week to wait hope it goes really quick! Xx
I know what you mean about the prodding. I have a check every night b4 bed. And the people saying “you’re young so it’s probably nothing” I feel less anxious every day now in all honesty (not because of the reassurances of it’ll be nothing) but because my mum & husband seem willing to talk about what ifs with me as no one else will they all just keep saying it’ll be ok. It’s nice to chew the fat with them so that if it isn’t the answer I want at least I feel like I have a plan in place. What’s the saying expect the best prepare for the worst x
Yes I totally understand what you mean , I have prepared myself for the worst partner doesn’t understand this tho as he says you’ve stressed so much over it (surprised I haven’t made myself I’ll) that what If it turns out to be nothing and you worried about it for the past 4 weeks! I understand what he means but as soon as you find a lump I think all women fear the worst! I actually have left prodding mine and felt them for the first time this morning in a while just hoping and praying we both get a good outcome how old are tour children If you don’t mind me asking? Xx

Frances1985 we are all In this together sadly seems to be more & more younger women finding lumps these days. When are u having your core biopsy ? Did they say alot to you when u had your u/s? Can’t imagine how u feel especially being in the middle of your birthday keep you in my thoughts and fingers crossed for u xx
I’m from the South of England hunbun3. Yeah they really are the first one a fluke the second long awaited (with a little nudge we got there lol).
Frances1985 did they give you any clues at your scan. I’ve been told by a couple of people that our unit do all the tests on the same day and to expect the appointment to last up to 4 hours. Apparently they try and give you as many of the results as they can feasibly on the day. So I’m hoping the same applies for me as it did for them x x
I’m in South Wales so not to far apart also I do believe if your lump is beign they tell u there & then as when I visited the breast clinic I saw the specialist who said it felt like nothin to be concerned about but did ultrasound the radiographer said straight away it’s a fatty lump specialist looked at scans & confirmed so I knew there and then what it was , I assume it’s the same everywhere although I know if they need to biopsy you need to wait for the results I think. X
The anxiety & stress is unbearable today. How do u all manage to keep strong while waitin for appointment ? I’ve been so run down I’ve brought on a bout of flu & also ao stressed about my breast that my ibs is back with a vengeance even though it’s only 6 days away now the wait feels never ending! X
The wait is awful n I can’t believe your still waiting . Between the dr and getting results was 48 hours of hell n I just can’t believe not all authorities operate this fast . Stay strong and my thoughts with u ladies on what’s a painful journey x
Yeh I have been waitin 4 weeks Friday so just like 4 & half week wait by the time I get seen on Tuesday the wait is just making me really anxious! Hopefully by this time next week I will have answers , I have been seen a lot quicker this time last time I went to clinic I waited about 3 months ! X
The waiting is horrible and I only saw my dr last Wednesday. I’m def carrying my stress around. My back is in knots. We’ll get there. Stay strong x x
Funny you should say that as my back and neck are also tense & I was only sat having a lovely massage on hols! That’s good that you have been refferd soon it’s been 4 wks fri since I saw my gp be strong xx
