Lump on nipple end

Hi everyone I’m Leanne, I have been having pain in my right breast for 3 months now, it started off with a bit of pain every few days and is now a few times a day. The pain varies from burning to stabbing and my nipple has been itchy, I went to see the doctor and he said he could feel some thickening but didn’t say where. I have a appointment at the breast clinic at Harrogate on Monday and I’m not sure what to expect. On Monday just gone a white lump appeared on my nipple end its white but not sore. Could the lump be a bad sign. Tia

Thanks for the replys, it’s been the longest two weeks of my life. I’m trying to be as positive as I can and not stress. I know pain isn’t usually a symptom of anything sinister and I’m holding onto that.
