Lump right breast

Have I got breast cancer? Appointments and waiting for test results

I found a lump in my breast a few days ago, basically couldn’t get comfortable in bed lying on that side, when I lift my arm above my head I can feel it with just very little strokes. I’ve seen the nurse practitioner, who said it could be a cyst but she’s not sure. She was very good but has put me on the urgent referral, so I’m waiting now… I’ve had an experience at breast clinic before many years ago when I was made to feel like I was wasting their time (I had my period at the time I arrived there) . This time when I saw the nurse I had about 9 days to go, I’m really concerned that I will get an appointment again, and again will be dismissed as an idiot, but surely I wouldnt have been referred if it wasn’t needed? Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing?

I am sorry to learn that your experience before was not good, no one should be made to feel that way.

 

The main thing is you have done the right thing because any change to the breast should be checked out for your own oeace if mind, it does not mean that it is bc, and as the nurse said it could be a cyst in which case the breast clinic are the experts in draining them.
