Lump under right arm

As many of you will be aware I had a left mastectomy last August and radiotherapy ended in November and I am currently on hormone treatment, including zoladex.

I was at the hospital this week for the results of my dexa scan, bloods and my dental form, to be put forward for bisphosphanate infusion.

I gave noticed over the last week or so that I have had lumps under my left arms. Some have disappeared, but I have woken up this morning with a bigger lump under that arm. I’ve not felt great all week so it could be an infection. I did mention these lumps to the bc nurse and she did and examination and all was fine.

I am concerned that this lump this morning is big and it hurts. I was wondering if anyone may know what it could be? I am back at the drs on Monday so will be mentioning it then. Thank you for listening xx

Hi Sunflower

We were on the October 19 rads thread together, though I remember you couldn’t get started until November because of the infections you had. You’d been through the mill. Sounds like this latest lump would be result of another infection as it’s painful. What did your doctor think today? Hope it all settles down soon.

I still feel lumpiness beneath both arms 6 years after my treatment. On the left side (cancer side) I have a large swelling which sometimes gets very hard and painful. I showed it to the breast nurse while I was still having treatment, and she didn’t know what it was. I’m sorry I can’t help or advise you. :womanmad:
