Had my lumpectomy on 23 Jan and everything was going ok apart from haematoma under scar. This didn’t give much of a problem when the rest of my boob was swollen but as this eased the haematoma became more noticeable. Anyway last Thursday after getting out of bath I noticed a trickle of blood from scar which stopped however on Saturday my breast went bright red with bruising and after my bath it started leaking a lot of blood. Rang out of hours and they advised me to add pressure and this stopped it, dressed it and went to bed. Next morning as it was still leaking I went to a&e to get it checked, did not feel unwell and they advised no sign of infection. I am still trickling blood today though and cannot find anyone on this site who has mentioned the haematoma leaking, thought it was meant to dissolve through bloodstream on its own, is mine just an awkward beggar, any response appreciated xxxx
