Hi all. I had lumpectomy yesterday and sentinel node removal for 6mm tubular cancer. Home and a little sore but so pleased the growth has gone!! Waiting now for results but feeling hopeful! Any similar ladies here?Gill.xx
Hi Gill,
I had Tubular BC back in 2015, In the grand scheme of things it’s one of the better types if there is such a thing! Long term prognosis is good and it’s mainly a low grade slow grower so you have every reason to be hopeful.
Im coming up to my 4th year anniversary in Feb and have had no issues since, take it easy and allow your body time to recover but you should be well on the mend in time for Christmas next week ?
All the best
Jo Xx
Hi Jo. Thanks for reply. Been on a bit of a roller coaster the last 6 weeks. Found on my 2nd routine mamogram. How did you get on with results after lumpectomy? Did you just have radiotherapy? Sorry for questions but great to talk to someone who has had similar. Yes I am now looking forward to Christmas!!xx
Hi Gill, I’ve had a mastectomy & 2 sentinel mode removed on 13 November then a week ago had lymph node clearance after sentinel node showed cancer cells awaiting results due on 27 December , it’s worrying but be positive it really does help and bearing in mind that the treatment is much better these days helps but doesn’t stop you worrying ,try and keep busy xx

I am a little behind Jobey, I was diagnosed with tubular bc in Sept 2016 17mm, er+, had my op all good and follow up of 20 sessions of radiotherapy which finished in January 2017. I am on tamoxifen for 10 years.
Life has on the whole gone back to normal and there is nothing that I did before being diagnosed that I am not able to do now.
Sending you hugs

Hi Helena. Did you have a sentinel node removed? What was that outcome? Xxxx
