Lymph ultra sound scan after 4 1/2 years

Hi all
Went for my annual check-up last Tuesday and Dr found a lymph node that needed checking. Have to have ultra sound scan on 21st and if neccesary, biopsy. Has anyone else had this so long after dx? xx

hi, had to have cat scan last year after over 3 years,had had xrays which were not clear, all was fine and probably an infection as its the lymph nodes that fight them. hope you get on ok too.

Hi Laraine

I’ve had swollen lymph nodes checked several times since initial diagnosis. Unfortunately I have had a recurrence in my nodes 5.5years after primary, but I’ve had so many swollen nodes both before and after this recurrence. It’s really common for them to swell and most likely a benign reason.

Thanks Jane, I didn’t know it was quite common for them to swell, so sorry you had a recurrance, it must have been awful so long after. Hope you are doing okay now. xx
